Willow is a dream dog. She is everything you could want in a Lab and more. While she’s a sweet girl, what we particularly love about her is her willingness to work with humans. When she walks into the room, she’s not distracted by the other dogs, for her, the world stops and she looks at me, she reads my emotions at such a depth that sometimes I question if she’s human.

Her desire to be with us in a comfortable, but not pushy way is what really caught our attention as a breeder. This dog is intelligent beyond what you could ask for in a dog. She’s easy, she listens, and she’s very emotionally balanced, and reliable. This is exactly what we hope to produce with her puppies.

The feedback from trainers is more than we could hope for: they all love Willow, they love how she takes to training, with a strong desire to please and engage with whatever activity she’s tasked with. She does well with the other dogs and yet she thrives with people. If they get cloning-for-dogs organized, Willow would be top of the list.

Temperament & Personality

Willow’s personality is easy and go with the flow, just like the branches of the tree she’s named after. We love her calm confidence and believe that will carry through not just in her mothering of her puppies, but also in her puppies’ personalities

Why She's in the Program

Willow is exactly what we hope to produce. She would make an ideal therapy or service dog and we can’t wait to meet her puppies and all the potential they’ll bring to the world.

Best in Class

It’s a little funny that I’m a teacher, because Willow makes the perfect teacher’s pet. She is like a sponge in training, picking up new skills and cues with ease.

She adores people, she soaks up the attention like a lizard soaking up sun on a rock. She will gladly go with you anywhere, eager to enjoy the day’s activities with you.

If you get a chance to meet her be careful, she’s quick with those puppy eyes and will con you into giving her some belly pets.

We expect her puppies will also take on her charming character, eagerness to learn, and love and adoration of humans. You’ll never go wrong with a Willow pup.

Willow is a Canine Good Citizen

Willow earned her Canine Good Citizen Title Certificate when she was just 8 months old.  This is a true testament to her calm and stable demeanor.

Typically, starting around 6 months, is the beginning of the “teenage years”.  This can be a challenging time to train because most pups are testing their independence at this time.

Despite being a “teenager”, Willow continued on her path of steadfast loyalty.

She is scheduled for her Therapy Dog Evaluation as soon as she is finished raising her current bundle of pups. We are looking forward to continuing with our nursing home visits and attaining her Therapy Dog Title.
