Merida is an old soul. She’s happy sitting outside all day, taking in the sights and smells. She takes the world in one moment at a time. Sometimes we aren’t sure if she knows she’s a dog.
She takes pride in her role in the family, making sure she greets us when we come home and she’s more than happy to sit with us on the couch for a little Netflix binging.
She is confident in her position, helping the younger pups learn the rules. Merida learns easily, loving to please the person she’s with.
We love her smaller stature, we believe it’ll serve a wider array of people, allowing them to take puppies in her lines more places, where a smaller dog more easily meets the needs of the situation.

We’ve completed health testing and Merida is clear, providing her puppies with a wonderful, healthy start to their life genetically.

Temperament & Personality
Merida is a pleasure to have around. Her calm confidence is charming and her perspective on the world makes it hard to have a bad day when you’re in her presence. She’s easy to train and we are looking forward to her puppies following with these traits.
Why She's in the Program
Merida is a beautiful continuation of Maisy’s lines. She has all the wonderful qualities of her mother, but in a more petite frame. We are excited to offer this line and the smaller size making work as a therapy dog more adaptable.
Best Nose in the House
My husband and son went out hunting one morning, they snuck out, were very quiet, had all the odor blocking gear so as to blend in as much as possible. About 30 minutes into their hunt, she slipped out the door, before I could catch her their spot was given up by sweet Merida. Despite all their attempts at covering their tracks, she followed their scent trail and greeted them with a wagging tail.
She Could be a Surfer
Merida is a little bummed that we live on a lake instead of a beach on the ocean, she loves our SUP (Stand-Up Paddle Board) and would gladly be a surfer, she even has the hair.
She’s Quite the Swimmer
We are lucky that the dogs need to come inside to eat, otherwise we’d never see more of Merida than her head and tail because she loves to be in the water. She will retrieve in the water, go swimming just because, and if given the option of being in the water or anywhere else, she’ll choose the water every time, unless we let her lay on our laps.
